Finding A Profitable Affiliate Program

By: Ruth Brown

Some people seem to get overwhelmed when looking for a good affiliate program to promote especially if they're new to internet marketing. Most new people online don't even know where to begin.

I know you're ready to make money online, so take your time and find a profitable affiliate program to promote.

It is important to decide what types of products you want to promote. Find something in your niche or something that you enjoy doing and find a product related to that. It will make the process a lot easier. You will actually enjoy the entire process of working with products and services you like talking about, plus it won't feel like work if you enjoy it.

Clickbank is one of the largest online marketplaces for finding products to sell. Once you find products to sell, write your list down, the web address and the title of each product and maybe a short description of the product.

The next step to take is to view the web pages. In Clickbank you can look at the number affiliates promoting a product. This is called the gravity level. If a lot affiliates are already promoting the product, it could end up being to competitive which means those affiliates are already ahead of the game. Don't promote products with high competition. In fact, I suggest promoting only affiliate programs that have 50 affiliates or less. As you're going through this process, eliminate the affiliate programs with high gravity because you'll be up against too much competition.

Now go back to the webpages, you decided to promote and look at each webpage and ask yourself these questions:

Would I purchase this product?
Can I trust the owner?
Are there less than two misspelled words on the webpage?
Does the page completely load in 30 seconds or less?
Are all the links working properly?
Does the owner offer support?
Is there contact information on the website?
Does the webpage offer refunds for unsatisfied customers?

If your answer is NO about any of the webpages, take them off your list. You only want to promote websites that look professional and perform well. I also try not to promote websites that have pop up windows, but sometimes that can be very difficult an you end up with no choice. The reason for this is because a lot of places where you will be promoting your products will not accept websites with pop up windows.

Another thing you should do is find an affiliate program that offer promotional resources. This will be a tremendous help, if you are new to online marketing.

Your list will now have fewer websites on it. Go over your list again and see how much commission each one pays. Eliminate the ones that pay less than 50 percent. The higher the affiliate commissions, the more money you make.

So now you're wondering, how do I pick the winner? Of course, you should choose the one that offer affiliates the largest commissions and start promoting.

Affiliate marketing is a great business to be in and can be extremely rewarding. So take the necessary steps by following the guidelines outlined here and you should make more money with less competitive affiliate programs.

Affiliate Marketing Courses - Learn and Earn As You Go

There are a lot of reasons why a career in affiliate marketing would be the ideal way for you to get the most of your life. For some, it’s the increased freedom that comes with being your own boss. For others, it’s the time they can spend at home with their families and loved ones, far away from the boring, dreary 9-5 existence they’ve grown to hate. And of course, there’s always the money to think about. Affiliate marketing has seen exponential growth in the last few years, making it one of the fastest growing industries on the market today.

But like any industry or new career, you really need to know the ropes before you decide to jump into the ring. That’s why affiliate marketing training courses are so important to the success of your new affiliate marketing career.

School is In! Are You?

To really get your hands dirty and learn exactly how affiliate marketing can help you achieve your career goals, you need to go back to school. You need to learn about important topics such as internet marketing and internet search engine basics. You’ll also need to get a handle on how affiliate programs themselves work, where to look for the best and brightest companies to work with, and even how to attract thousands of monthly visitors to your affiliate sites.

Just how long will all of this take? Probably about 6-12 months. It may sound like a lot of time, but you have to ask yourself – how long did you expect to go to school for? Standard training courses at your local college can run anywhere from 6 months to 4 years, and some go even longer than that! And when you are done in those courses, learning everything you needed to start your new career, you head out into the working world to a boss who may not respect you and a bank account that definitely won’t appreciate you.

Earn While you Learn!

With affiliate marketing course and affiliate marketing training, such as James Martell’s proven strategies in his training program, you’ll be able to learn all you need to know in a short amount of time and in the comfort of your home. And you’ll also earn while you learn, since Martell’s system is designed for you to do practical, hands-on training while you are learning about the process.

That means that while you are learning about how to generate visitors to your websites, you’ll be optimizing the sites you already own to work better. And while you are learning about how content can drive up sales on your site, you’ll be using your own creative talents to spin articles that you can be proud of and will keep the sales coming in.

There are a couple reasons for this: First of all, it will show you immediately what’s possible if you continue with your studies and learn how to become a proper affiliate marketing expert. Second, most of us could use a little extra cash, right? Earning an additional income while you are learning your new career will help keep you focused and motivate you while you are going through the lessons.

Finally, in traditional school programs, student are exposed to a practicum, or practical work-based exercise in the field of their choosing. Often these stints working in the field are done under the tutelage of a prospective hiring company and for little or no compensation. It is assumed that the student’s increased understanding of the industry is as good as a wage.

In a home-based environment like the one in James Martell’s training course, they’ve taken that practical experience a step further by immersing the student in the same work environment they’ll be joining when they are done learning. That would be like learning how to become a world class chef in your own restaurant!

Be Your Own Boss! Choose your Own Wage!

It sounds too good to be true, but there are millions of people out there right now who are happy being their own boss and making a comfortable living at the same time. Affiliate marketing is one way that you can join their ranks. It’s an exciting, creative, cutting edge career that has been steadily growing since the inception of the internet, and as the internet grows, so does the affiliate marketing industry.

It may sound too easy, or it might sound like there is a trick to the process, but the only trick you need to worry about is getting a leg up on the competition by jumping on board a home-based affiliate marketing course.

Affiliate marketing training isn’t something that should be taken lightly. It is a serious, important first step in becoming a successful affiliate marketing expert. And if you are looking to start your career as a successful affiliate marketer, it’s the only step you should be considering before you begin.

Affiliate Marketing - Success Tips for the Beginner

By: Kevin Sinclair

Most people starting out looking to make money from their own home based internet marketing business are drawn towards the affiliate marketing arena with claims of easy money.

But is it really as easy as just sending prospects to your affiliate link? In a word, no. Nothing's that easy. There is work involved. There's no such thing as a free ride.

And most people that fail at affiliate marketing are the ones that enter it with that mindset. You, as an aspiring affiliate, need to realize that it is still marketing and as such you will need to hone your skill set to achieve any level of success.

As with any product or service you must advertise to make prospects aware of what you have to offer. You can't just join a program and hope that your link will be clicked.

A successful affiliate applies many different strategies. Most of these can be used in any niche with a little altering to fit that particular niche's parameters.

Here are a few tips on how to grow your affiliate earnings.

*You're the expert

Get to know the product you're promoting. Research it as thoroughly as possible. If it's feasible, buy the product and use it. This gives you the advantage of working from a position of superior knowledge. Write your own testimonial or review. This instils confidence in the buyer because you've already purchased it yourself.

*Your own website

You have to have your own website. This is imperative to your affiliate success. Why? Because every other affiliate will be using the exact same sales pages as you. You must stand out from the crowd. Differentiate yourself.

With your own site you can create custom landing pages to pre-sell the product. You can also write a special report and set up an autoresponder to capture the name and email address of curious individuals and follow up with them.

Always check with the affiliate agreement before creating your own ads and landing pages as this may be against the rules for that particular program.

*Forums and discussion boards

Participating in online forums and discussion boards gives you two advantages. It not only allows you to drum up business for your products but it also gives you input from a customer's point of view.

By asking and answering questions you'll get a better feel for what exactly your prospects are looking for. What problems do they have? What do they feel would be the best way to solve these problems? Which do they think's the most pressing problem that needs to be addressed?

*Your own newsletter or ezine

There are a tremendous amount of free newsletters and ezines on the web today, and for good reason. People who are passionate about a certain subject will always welcome more information on it as long as it's well written and presented.

By building a relationship with your readers you build their trust too. This is when you can start recommending products and services and when your affiliate profits will soar.

Simply send out an email every other week with an article written by either yourself or another expert along with some tips and possibly a famous quote and you've got a winning formula for a newsletter.

Capturing someone's email can also be applied to giving away a special report or product review so long as you let the person know that you will be sending additional emails.

All in all, these tips should help you greatly increase your earnings in any affiliate program in any niche.

7 Ways To Determine What The Best Online Affiliate Program Is For You?

By: Melody Heddings

There are a some important things that you need to look at when trying to decide what the best online affiliate program is. You want to make sure that you look real closely at the affiliate program before you join. You can ask questions or do research into the affiliate program to find out if it would be a good fit for your business.

1. You want to find out if the online affiliate program is free or do they want you to buy a product or service before you join. Some programs do want a very small fee for you to join. That does not make them a bad affiliate program. Find out why they want you to pay a small fee if you are concerned about it.

2. Find other people who are using the same affiliate program. Ask them questions to find out if they are having good results with the program. You also want to ask if they have had any problems. With an affiliate program that is online, you can always find other people promoting the same program you are looking at.

3. If this is one of the affiliate programs that is best online they will provide you with marketing materials that you can use to promote it. Such as banners, classified ads, links, emails, etc… You also want to make sure that you will be provided help online or offline if you run into problems. The best online affiliate programs will provide around the clock help. Make sure that they will keep in contact with you on a regular basis through emails.

4. Another important issue to check into is how much do they pay, and how often do they pay. It is always a good idea to find out if they have an online sales stats page, and a way to track your sales. Also find out if they will notify you through email when you make a sale. Most of the best affiliate programs online will provide this information.

5. The best online affiliate programs will have more than one product that you can use to make backend sales to the same person. You also want to find out if you can make residual income from any of their products, or if they are all one time sales. Another important piece of information to find out is if you will be credited with a sale if people come back in a month or more and buy the product. One more thing to check into is if you will get a percentage of the commission for anyone who signs up under you.

6. Do you have to use the sales material that is provided with the affiliate program? You want to find out if you can come up with your own materials to advertise the program. Most of the best online affiliate programs will give you leeway to come up with your own marketing materials.

7. One last thing that you want to find out is if they have a lot of different ways for the customers to pay. If they don't, that could mean lost commissions for you. Online affiliate programs that are the best will provide customers more than one way to pay.

So as you can see, there is a lot of things that you want to find out before joining an affiliate program. The best online affiliate programs will be more than happy to answer any questions that you have. It is always best to find out this information first, that way you are not disappointed after you join.

5 Affiliate Marketing Facts of Life

Marige O'Brien

Affiliate Marketing (AM) is fast becoming a major trend in online business.
With the internet still in its adolescent years, it has already established
itself as an extremely viable career opportunity, bridging the advertising
gap for companies, while providing much sought-after work at home revenue.

With the boom in affiliate marketing, however, there is a growing wave of
new marketers that become easily discouraged when the initial hype wears off
and they don't understand what to expect in the business. For those just
entering the arena, here are a few Facts Of Life about Affiliate Marketing:

1) YOU WILL HAVE TO INVEST SOME MONEY
Affiliate marketing being a hybrid of the independent contractor & the
self-employed small business owner, it is inevitable that some money be
invested. While a contractor might earn a base pay + commission, they also
have little or no control over product, promotion or price. And, while a
self-employed owner controls all these, they also pay all the bills.

But an AM is neither. They don't control price nor, once they sign up,
product. But they do control promotion. And, unlike a self-employed
worker, they bear only a fraction of the costs. The advertising fraction.

So, the bad news is affiliate marketers do have to invest some money, at
some point, even in the best programs or scenerios. But this has also
become a growing trend in all sales positions, as well as positions in all
industries. Many positions include a certain amount of investment. Any job
that requires a uniform, for example, means investing in special clothes.
Plus most realtors must pay for their own advertising.

The good news is that, unlike other sales positions (but similar to small
business), the AM controls that cost because they decide on which
advertisements to invest.

The best news is that many companies, like Plug-in-Profits (
http://trackermo.com/pips.html), now offer great affiliate support and will
guide the new AM until they understand the business and can stand on their
own two feet.

2) YOU WILL HAVE TO INVEST SOME TIME
Affiliate marketing works on the slide-rule effect. That is, the more
effort the AM invests, the richer the dividends. And, like a microcosm of a
career, the AM works their tail off in the beginning-- then works less and
less as their sales build. But this can be measured in months, rather than
years (thus, the mirocosm).

Still, many enter the AM arena thinking all they have to do is sign up as an
affiliate, then sit back and reap the rewards. And that's just when they
should be getting busy. The rewards will come, but not until they've put in
their time.

The bad news here is to expect to eat, drink and sleep marketing-- at first.

The good news is that, according to experts in the field, an affiliate can
expect to see a return on their investment within the first 3-9 months,
depending on how much time they spend at it on a daily/weekly basis.

3) YOU WILL GET BURNED ONCE OR TWICE
It's inevitable. Either by paying astronomical fees for hosting, for leads
or for some other service (not to mention, the existence of scams), it
happens. That's why "expert" and "experience" have the same root word. It
takes experience to know what's going on, how to spot a scam, and to know a
good opportunity when it arrives.

The good news is, experience is the best teacher of all. And a new AM will
soon learn from their mistakes.

4) YOU WILL HAVE TO UPDATE YOURSELF
The internet has been called the most fluid industry ever. That's a poetic
way of saying it changes more easily and more often than a body of water.
Engineers call it expotential growth, though it's more reminiscent of growth
on a cellular level: Rather like a baby starting as two single cells and, in
nine short months, becoming a fully formed infant. Or, like a pyramid
scheme that really works!

Whatever the analogy, the point is the internet is constantly, incessantly,
(sometimes annoyingly) changing. What was vital two years ago (SE
placement, keywords, Pay-Per-Click), is now becoming passe, replaced by new
types of more effective marketing techniques (PowerLinking, Opt-in lists,
pay-per-buy).

All of which leads to--

5) YOU MUST BE PRO-ACTIVE
To keep the revenues up, AMs must find good resources to monitor the
business. Newsletters, forums and affiliate resource pages all become vital
to watching the latest trends. They are filled with the latest information,
the latest ideas and the newest concepts in advertising.

Also, in the case of the AM with their own website, that must be updated
occasionally, too, while the affiliate landing page is kept up by the
company. But when an AM opts for their own page, they must be aware that
every few months or years, a new enhancement takes off. Right now, the
latest is audio and or animated spokespeople.

Once an affiliate marketer arms themself with these facts of life, they have
a very good chance of succeeding in this new arena.--mo

Leading of your first advertising campaign.

Leading of your first advertising campaign.

Let’s track our advertising campaign day after day during one week period
To begin with, let’s take the definite goods and set different budget every day. Let’s regard parameters of advertising campaign. This information includes all main indices, which we are to take into account every day. This is not hard and takes approximately 20 minutes. How much time you have spent for advertising campaign will result in your profit.
You have 24 hours access to the data, which are given below, if you use Google Adwords.

Impressions – number of advertisements, which are shown on Google AdWords.
Clicks – number of clicks “by target surfers” on advertisements
Cumulative Clicks – cumulative number of clicks (by growing result on days).
Ad CTR – (CTR = Click Through Rate) – ratio: clicks/showings of advertisements.
Average CPC – (CPC = Cost Per Click) – pay per click (for example, $0,07).
Advertising Costs – expenses for advertising campaign (every day).
Sales – number of sales per day.
Commissions Earned – commissions of sales per day.
Days Profit – profit per day.
Overall Profit – profit within advertising campaign of goods (by growing result).

The first day. We define budget in amount of 5$.( Advertising Costs ). Thus, we paid for 8231 showings of our advertisement by google (Impressions), 71 clients has clicked it and only one of them have bought goods. Aren’t you impressed? We can say that conversion of these goods 1 to 71. But at this budget for the amount of 5$, our profit comprises as follows:
Profit = 40.66$ – 4.97$ = 35.69 $ OF ONE SALE PER DAY!
For example, there was no sale during the second and the third day.
On the third day we decided to set the budget in the amount of 53$. And this have brought 745, seven of which paid the bill. Our net profit is 232,47$ during a week!

1. Register on clickbank CLICK HERE , if you still have not done it.
2. Click on field create hoplink (goods which you have chosen.)
3. Then you will be redirected to the opening window in order to get partner’s link.

As a result you get two URLs

1. The first URL is the URL going to which the buyer gets the goods ‘at you’, i.e. come to your shop and buy the goods at you, then you get your per cent of the goods cost, which was agreed on affiliate program web-site.

2. The second URL is for web-masters, in order to place it on web-sites, where your e-shop is advertised, there are bottoms, pressing which redirection to the web-site of affiliate program is carried out. Should the client buy the goods you get the same commission.

The difference is that the first URL is just text line for redirection, and the second one is the button.
